Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965), is an American actor from America. She is best known for her role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick was honored with the Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. Following the seventh season Sedgwick won an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in the year 2010. The series ended on August 13th in 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her regular role as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech/family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick who is a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian who was of English descent. Sedgwick has announced that she is Jewish and has been a participant in Passover dinners.
